Local Search
A search performed online in which a person is looking for a business, product or service near where they live (or in an area they’ll be visiting).
Examples of local search terms are “pizza st louis”, “accountant maui”, and “plastic surgery 90210.”
A local search is usually performed either on a search engine (like Google or Yahoo!) or a website that contains information about businesses offering local products or services (like Yelp, MerchantCircle, and online Yellow Pages directories).
