Citations are a critical part of the algorithm used by Google and other search engines to rank local businesses in the local business rankings. They’re kind of like a vote for your business in the eyes of the search engines and builds your businesses credibility.
You can get citations from a variety of sources including online business directories, online yellow pages sites, local blogs, and a chamber of commerce site.
